Christmas
After the whirlwind 2020 turned out to be, we could not wait to celebrate the festive season with all our guests.
On Christmas Day, the staff dressed up!
‘Santa and his elves’ paid a visit to the Resort, where the merry band proceeded to spread more of the “Christmas jolly’s” as they joined the kiddies on the jumping pillow.
Every year, we encourage our guests to sing along at our onsite rendition of Carols by Candlelight and last year was no different. Each guest received a candle and a complimentary packet of sweet treats as we all gathered to sing popular carols.
We also had a wonderful bring and braai, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Valentine’s Day-
Spreading the love! |
We kicked 2021 off on a lovely note – Valentine’s Day of course! We decorated the Reception area with loads of red and white balloons and heart-shaped décor. As guests checked-in, they were welcomed by a love photo booth, where they could snap pictures of themselves and their loved ones. Guests also received a heart-shaped rice crispy treat upon arrival and for dinner everyone was treated to a romantic evening at The Old Kitchen Restaurant.

Picnic perfect I do’s
In December, we hit a solid six when we hosted a pitch-perfect picnic wedding for South African cricketer, Yolani Fourie, and new hubby, Kurt.
We utilised our perfectly manicured, green lawns to the fullest as we setup the happy couple’s reception. After Yolani and Kurt recited their vows and said their “I do’s”, the newlyweds made their way to our picnic setup.
With a very relaxed atmosphere, both the bridal couple and guests could sit back, relax and enjoy the day’s festivities.

Build the team, maintain the dream
During December, we had the pleasure of hosting mining conglomerate, Impala Platinum, for several days of teambuilding and connecting. The event was themed ‘bush-and-beach’ and amongst a host of thrilling and fun activities; we also had traditional African dancers to provide entertainment, a “shebeen”-themed evening and interactive drumming, organised by Drums and Rhythm. This awesome teambuilding event was a great success and the Impala Platinum team had a blast!

Easter
Easter at Mount Amanzi was simply spectacular! We celebrated the long weekend with classic foodie specials at The Old Kitchen Restaurant as well as a family-friendly Easter lunch.
The kiddies were entertained by our visiting petting zoo: a combination of furry and feathered friends visited the Resort, including ducks, ponies, chinchillas and many more! And of course, the day would not have been complete without the surprise arrival of the Easter Bunny!
It’ safe to say the long weekend was a great success with lots of chocolatey-smeared faces with the biggest smiles!

Mother's Day
Mother’s Day at Mount Amanzi was a great success! Our Reception area was decorated with colourful balloons and a huge ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ sign. The balloons, much like a Mom’s love – keep us afloat and add colour and happiness to our lives.
At The Old Kitchen, we hosted a moreish breakfast for Mom. On the menu we had an array of brekkie favourites that really hit the spot. Assorted Danishes, cold meats, eggs, bacon and so many more delicious eats were spread across the tables at The Old Kitchen. Needless to say, all our munching Moms enjoyed the yummy spoils!
