Great View. Tons to keep you busy at Crystal Springs and its surroundings. The Chalets are clean and well kept. They offer a game drive, which is very informative and worth experiencing. Saw zebras and other animals walking past the chalets in the evenings. Definitely enjoyed the stay. (TripAdvisor)

Family Getaway. Wow, the place is heavenly beautiful; the lady at Reception (Khomotso) was friendly and she assisted us with places that we can…A big thanks. The house keeper was also friendly (Richard). Big up. (TripAdvisor)

Most breathtaking views. The most relaxing destination. (Facebook)
Leon Olinsky - Crystal Springs
What an awesome experience. One week was not enough for me and my family to enjoy all the surrounding scenery and places. The food at Crystal Springs [Le Fera] Restaurant was great and the service even better. I found it to be a well situated centralised site that caters for everyone's interests. It will include quick drives to points of interest such as Mac Mac pools, Bourke's Luck, Echo Caves to name a few. Hiking trails, mountain biking, swimming, tennis, putt-putt or game drives at Crystal Springs are also available. Overall, I need at least another two weeks to do everything there is to offer. Highly recommended.

Manzi Monate is the place to be. It's neat, rooms are clean and fresh air. When it comes to kids it is number one. They have everything for kids. All games are there. Volleyball, tennis, golf, swimming pools… I will be coming back soon.
Le Too – Uvongo
Absolutely loved the Resort ... the unit I stayed in was massive and I really didn't expect it to be that big; big ups to the security staff at the Entrance – they definitely get a 10 over [out of] 10 from me.
Johannes Xaba – Uvongo
It was so good to be at Uvongo River Resort and we enjoyed being among those who get that experience; keep it up guys.
Liscka Naidoo – Uvongo
Absolutely amazing; we could have not been happier. The overall feel of the place is extremely relaxing. My 3 year old was occupied the whole time we were there. I cannot wait to be back...

I love this place! I like where it is situated! Away from our everyday lives area! Definitely would love coming again! Staff so friendly, loved the braai! Gym!
Joey Moima – Sudwala Lodge
I loved my stay and enjoyed the scenery and the trail walk.
Reyaadg – Kagga Kamma
My wife surprised me with a stay at this little gem in the middle of nowhere. It was a birthday gift and what a wonderful place to celebrate. Staff was very friendly and we were allowed an early check-in. The Sundowner Trip was awesome –highlights the remote location and emphasises the peace and tranquillity. Being New Year's Eve the staff went out of their way to make the evening fun and special. A braai buffet was laid out in the Boma and a DJ played music to see [us] in[to] the New Year. They even arranged a complimentary birthday cake. There is no cell phone reception or TV in rooms. Limited WI-FI at Reception. This adds to the magical feeling of a complete break away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We did the 4 km Hike route and would advise this. Get to see the lovely rock formations. Would love to return in the winter some time and also try the Open Air Room. Thanks Tania [Resort Manager] and team, for a lovely stay. Room Tip: go for the Huts - little more space. Would love to try the Open Air Room some time. (TripAdvisor)
Tyrone James Ping – Kagga Kamma
An incredible and unique experience. We stayed in the Cave rooms, whilst we spent very little time in our actual rooms with such spectacular facilities and scenery you wouldn't want to waste the day away in your room. Really enjoyed the Morning, Sundowner and Evening Game Drives. There aren't many large animals to be seen but the smaller animals are fascinating; the Rock Painting Tour is a must too. The night skies are spectacular too! Great meals which cater specifically for vegetarians and vegans, which is a welcome change! Can't wait to go back.
Skye Littlefield – Kagga Kamma
Kagga Kamma is unlike anywhere I have stayed within South Africa. The landscape and the Lodge are both exceptionally beautiful. The food was delicious, and there were full menus for both vegetarians and vegans. The Game Drives take you to some of the most beautiful spots on the Reserve with incredibly gorgeous views. We were lucky enough to see an abundance of game as well as smaller creatures such as snakes and Armadillo lizards. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
sandrawatson333 – Kagga Kamma
We arrived at the Reserve at 8.15 pm after a four hour drive from Cape Town. The road is good, and even the last section wasn't too bad. And the sunset! This is an extraordinary place. The name means "place of rocks [water]", apparently, and it is. There is a good pool (refreshingly cold) where you can see San paintings and "talk" to the visiting hyrax. The chalets are located with privacy in mind; very roomy, with excellent kitchen facilities. The bathrooms were small. We saw some game, and an African wildcat through our window. The Resort offers night drives, talks and outdoor eating at the Restaurant. All under that amazing star-filled sky (we Aussies could easily find our Southern Cross). Hint: Make sure you arrive before the park gates close. (TripAdvisor)
Bianca Lewis – Kagga Kamma
We had a lovely time at Kagga Kamma! The staff is friendly and very helpful. The bushmen [San] and Sundowner excursions were amazing. The views on the hill were breathtakingly beautiful! There is no cell phone reception and no TV just peace and quiet – pure bliss. The rocks are so beautiful and unique, photographs doesn't do any justice. The night sky is just as beautiful as much more stars can be seen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Kagga Kamma is definitely a must! Thank you!
Flavia Elisa – Kagga Kamma
I would just like to say the BIGGEST thank you to the amazing, amazing staff at Kagga Kamma! My trip was unfortunately cut short when I had a fall and injured my fingers but the staff was absolutely incredible and so, so helpful! Thank you all for being so caring and doing everything you could to make me feel comfortable and looked after! Although my trip was cut short I had an unforgettable time at Kagga Kamma and will definitely be back again soon! Highly recommended!
Nedine Otto – Kagga Kamma
The perfect place to find some peace of mind, amidst beautiful scenery, excellent food, and the friendliest staff in the country.
Michelle van der Merwe – Ekuthuleni

Breath-taking river views from HB 01, located so close to the river, you can hear the rapids. Wildlife at your doorstep. Well-appointed unit, spacious, clean and comfortable. Four bedrooms and four bathrooms, with washing machine and dryer. This Resort just never fails to entertain both children and adults. Friendly and courteous staff. We will always return! (TripAdvisor)
OBwun2014 – Ngwenya
The self-catering chalet we stayed in overlooks the River and sleeps Eight – three bedrooms, two bathrooms, one en suite; kitchen, dining, lounge and covered patio with braai. Cleaning service every day except Sunday, but you can pay extra if you require that as well. The rooms are all air conditioned and also have ceiling fans. There are a few swimming pools on the grounds, with a shop for essentials, laundry if you need, children's room, games, putt-putt, trampolines, and even tennis courts. The [Le Fera] Restaurant and Bar are overlooking the River, if you feel the need not to cook. The highlight of the position being on the River is that the Kruger Park starts at the edge of our balcony, so wild life can be directly under where you are standing. Looking over the River we often saw Elephant, lots of Buck and even Rhino, a vast assortment of bird life as well. It is about 8km to the Crocodile Bridge Entrance into the Kruger Park, so up and off early into the Park is a must. This year we were very lucky in the Park as we actually saw all of the Big Five and much more. The highlight of the trip being a Cheetah and her cubs and the rarest sighting of all was a Honey Badger. If you get the opportunity to go, then I would highly recommend this as a destination. Room Tip: Try and get a chalet on the river. (TripAdvisor)
Kobus P – Ngwenya
This place is a wonderful place to stay. Good and friendly reception. This was our fifth visit to the Lodge. Accommodation excellent. Nice walkways between the houses and next to the River good hideaways to watch the animals and birds. The gardens are beautiful and swimming pools are sparkling and inviting. A place to be when you want to relax from all your troubles and work stress. (TripAdvisor)

This is a place for everyone... let me start with the arrival, the Reception area is neat and on our arrival there were welcome drinks and refreshments for the kids as well. The unit we stayed in was Unit 443 and what a beautiful and clean place. Our person who cleaned our unit was helpful and friendly her name is Anna (Not Anna Mgomezulu) what a friendly person. The Lodge itself is a place for adults and kids; my two daughters enjoyed themselves to the fullest every day at the Games Room and at the five pools that the Lodge has. We were close to one of the many viewing decks and had a relaxing time there seeing all kinds of animals on the banks of the Crocodile River. Seeing into the Kruger was delightful. Enjoyed waking up every day to the sounds of birds of all kinds. Birdlife abundant. Thanks again to the Ngwenya Staff and Anna for making our stay beautiful. Room Tip: Look for the River facing Units. (TripAdvisor)
Rosanne F – Ngwenya
We visited Ngwenya Lodge for a week. Our unit was well equipped, clean, serviced daily, air-conditioned and so beautifully appointed on the Crocodile River. Access to Kruger National Park was an easy 15 minute drive. When not viewing game we enjoyed walks around the lodge, swimming and viewing game and birds from three hides on the River. Our last meal in their Restaurant was delicious. We will return! Room Tip: River frontage is lovely but units facing ponds are also good. (TripAdvisor)
Yacoobvr – Ngwenya
We visit once or twice a year and love it there. The position of the Lodge and easy access to the Crocodile River Gate is awesome, even just chilling at the Lodge itself … sitting in the hides etc. is so much fun. (TripAdvisor)
paullinde – Ngwenya
We had the most amazing view of the Kruger Park and a 180 degrees of the Crocodile River, hippo, crocodile, elephant, rhino, waterbuck and the most amazing collection of birds all day long. Clean resort, efficient Reception, helpful staff to offload our supplies and provide daily cleaning service. Acceptable restaurant and other amenities. What a fantastic way to relax and recharge for the new year! I will definitely return to this paradise in the bushveld. Room Tip: Upper level facing the river is where I will book again. (TripAdvisor)
postscript65 – Ngwenya
Overlooking the Crocodile River, from which the Resort takes its name; gardens are exceptional and the thatched chalets all have a river or lakeside view. It is mainly for self-catering travellers but there is a Restaurant, several pools, tennis courts and children's entertainment. Great base for the Kruger Park or for the lazy or lucky, the game comes to the River on the opposite bank. (TripAdvisor)
UwaisP – Ngwenya
Was the most revitalising trip ever especially how stunning the scenery was. Our cabin was right by the hide which made it even more stunning. The most amazing thing is that it's directly opposite the Kruger National Park. (TripAdvisor)
Angelika H – Ngwenya
The perfect Resort to book for a Kruger Park visit. We stayed here for seven days in a beautifully two bedroom self-catering unit, with pond view. The Resort offers many pools, tennis courts, mini golf and game viewing hides with lovely walkways. Only 15 minutes away from Crocodile Bridge Gate of the KNP; well worth a visit and stay. We come here every year and have never been disappointed. Room Tip: Pond View Cottages are great, but river view is super for game viewing. (TripAdvisor)
RiichardK – Ngwenya
This is our third visit and still an awesome place. Excellent service and stunning facilities. Restaurant with viewing deck serves the best pizza and breakfasts. Units are well-equipped and clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the wife loves the Spa. Excellent views into the Kruger National Park from the viewpoints. A short drive and you in the Kruger National Park. (TripAdvisor)
Katelstraat – Ngwenya
Ngwenya Lodge is one of those places that give you that special "I'm in Africa" experience. It's on the bank of the Crocodile River looking into the great Kruger National Park. It's very well-equipped for self-catering but also has a great Restaurant. Very, very important to bring a pair of good binoculars otherwise you lose out on great game viewing and bird watching. (TripAdvisor)

From the moment I arrived I had a great welcome from all the staff. I stayed in a spotlessly clean room by The Garden. The pool is the best I have ever seen. Everything is taken care of for you by the lovely staff. Even my boarding pass for my flight home was printed for me by the Reception. I look forward to returning very soon. (TripAdvisor)
Dharmesh108 – Mabalingwe
Spent the weekend at Mabalingwe Nature Reserve; was an amazing experience. Kids enjoyed the place, had lots of activities at the Main Pool area to keep them busy; for the out- doors person, you have the option of a game drive or self-drive through the Reserve. The chalets are a home-away-from-home experience … very spacious with two well-appointed bathrooms, one with shower and one with bath; it has all the amenities required for a home and bush experience. Seen lots of animals at the Reserve and had a close up of the Elephants , what an experience. Room Tip: Kubu Camp or Phiri Camp, overlooking the Kubu Dam has Hippos and Crocs. (TripAdvisor)
PierreBes – Mount Amanzi
I've been going to Mount Amanzi over December, for the past 5 years. It is such a pleasure to get to go to a Resort where some sort of upgrading has been done throughout the year. Every year it's better than the previous. Beautiful, nice, relaxing resort. I especially enjoyed the fishing. Well Done Mount Amanzi Management Team! (TripAdvisor)
Kenneth B – Mount Amanzi
This is a place that is absolutely great for families, just a few hundred yards downstream from the famous Dam; it is basically a camp that contains fully self-contained houses, 4/5/6 berth houses all with bathrooms, kitchens, televisions, braai areas… containing table and chairs for eating; each has parking outside of the houses; the camp has good roads, lighting and is set amongst trees, with water in the shape of a number of dams leading down to the River. There is a small shop on-site, as well as a very good two level Restaurant and Bar; there are numerous facilities for the whole family, as well as children – putting course, giant chess/draughts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, great for fishing, tennis, or just chilling out. It is also in a good location for getting to all of the attractions that the Hartbeespoort area has. Room Tip: Good location for whatever you want to do. (TripAdvisor)

Excellent Resort, units are clean comfortable and well maintained. 4 x 4 a must, beautiful beach, stunning pool; the food is excellent. The staff are so friendly. What I really loved is that it is so quiet here, far away from crowds and hawkers. Lorraine and Hutch are doing a wonderful job in running this place so well. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
